Hello and welcome to the blog. I’m Mike Livesay. I worked professionally as a video game developer during most of the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. I finished my first published game in the early 80s at the beginning of the 8-bit era and my final title just as the second generation of 3D consoles were hitting the market. I pretty much saw it all and there was quite a bit to see, believe me. It was a wild ride, both incredibly challenging and stressful at times, yet also incredibly fun and rewarding overall. I hope to use this blog to chronicle my journey through the early days of the game biz, as well as to muse about programming, pixels, life, 6502 op codes, and whatever my current obsession is this week. Many thanks for reading - I hope it will be an entertaining and enlightening journey for us both!
